Support approved for Danish renewable project

The European commission has approved three schemes to produce electricity from wind and solar in Denmark throughout 2018 and 2019.

The first has a budget of €112M ( an offshore and onshore wind and solar installation. The money will be allocated on a "selection" basis through the tendering process , all of the technologies will be competing for cash!!!

The financial support will be over a twenty year period once connection too the grid has been established

It found that the schemes will encourage the development of offshore and onshore wind and solar technology, in line with the requirements of the guidelines.

Denmark has a goal of supplying 50% of its energy from renewable energy sources by 2030 and of becoming independent from fossil fuels by 2050.
